About the Artist
Claudette Moe (known to many by her nickname, Rusty) is a Northwest native residing in Vancouver, Washington. In 2004 she left the corporate world to embark on a career
as an artist. Self-taught, Claudette works in a variety of mediums. Her early emphasis has been mosaics, but she has returned to her love of painting, and her portfolio
reflects the diversity of her talent and style in both.
People who discover Claudette's work are quick to compliment her style and use of vivid colors. Her mosaics have been called non-traditional, often compared to stain glass.
Regardless of comparisons, reactions to her mosaics usually include "Wow. Beautiful", and, "I have never seen anything like this." Claudette has designed mosaic table tops
and wall art depicting a host of subject matter from women of Africa to exotic birds to the Northwest environment. Because of her classic designs and technique, many of her
table tops now hang in her client's homes.
Claudette's work has been featured in galleries and juried Northwest art shows and festivals. Locally, Claudette shows and sells current artwork from her web site and at the
seasonal Vancouver Farmers Market, which runs weekends April through October.
